The new Wire Cutting Management Module is a precise way to electronically prioritize, group and plan cuttable items. This new module increases productivity and efficiency while reducing the manpower required for the cutting process.
Product Feature:
Latitude can define cuts that go together, along with the containers and grouping required.
Why does this matter?
This eliminates the need for cut operators to manually manage the process once an order is imported.
Product Feature:
New properties, container and group tables will define what should be picked and/or grouped.
Why does this matter?
Managed cuttable wire properties are exclusive of cut wire properties, allowing for a transition from the current process for current active branches.
Product Feature:
Cut detail can be read from the ERP system.
Why does this matter?
This means cut operators can drive the requirement(s) from the order taker.
Product Feature:
Latitude will automatically batch and prioritize cuts upon order import, which can be tailored after import.
Why does this matter?
This effectively (and simply) drives picking. Automatic batching only occurs for groups that have been released for picking.
Product Feature:
A new form showing current pick batches and their details is available for viewing and managing current cut wire.
Why does this matter?
All new or currently selected batches can be released, held and reviewed from this form. When released, all wire tag labels are automatically printed to the cut operator’s label printer, freeing up time that could be allocated elsewhere.
Product Feature:
Wire tag labels will include a header and footer for each batch, complete with batch number barcoded in readable text, the actual cut quantity and a predefined load number. The labels will print in pick path order within grouping.
Why does this matter?
The new wire tag labels display more than just the line quantity, eliminating any guesswork and reducing the opportunity for errors.
Product Feature:
Users have the option to pick any cuttable wire right from their handheld device, but now they can pick by grouping. And, we’ve added a new picking cut wire metric to the suite of performance metrics.
Why does this matter?
This feature means that the cut operator simply scans the batch barcode from the wire cut label to move on to the next step. The screen on the handheld device has been augmented to display the actual wire cut quantity and picking container.
Product Feature:
A new view showing items and associated batches is handy from the Review Sales Order form.
Why does this matter?
Visibility is enhanced as users will be able to see which lot numbers picked and recorded against the record. This data will report actual cut usage by item/lot.
