Mingledorff’s designated “Latitude Team” was just honored with the HVAC (Honored Valuable Achiever Contributor) Employee of the Year Award at the 2018 Dealer Meeting in Savannah, Georgia. The team consists of nine Mingledorff’s employees who assisted the HVAC company in rolling out and utilizing PathGuide’s Latitude WMS in each of its 35 branch locations.
Founded in 1939, family-owned Mingledorff’s serves air conditioning contractors and industrial accounts from its locations across the southeastern United States, handling jobs of all sizes. No other company in the region provides a more local, convenient source, or larger inventory of HVAC equipment and supplies.
Having so many branches come online at the same time wasn’t an easy task, but once Mingledorff’s overcame its initial customization hurdles, things quickly smoothed out. In fact, they started the implementation at their Marietta, Georgia location in March 2017. By Thanksgiving, less than 9 months later, they had Latitude up and running in all 35 branch locations.
For Mingledorff’s, the introduction of a WMS has made warehouse operations faster, more streamlined and less error-prone. “Having Latitude has helped us improve accuracy on the receiving end while giving us quantifiable data that help pinpoint errors instantly,” said Sean Wallace head of Mingledorff’s Business Systems Group and part of the award-winning Latitude team. “I’m excited that our team now has more time to spend on improving customer service and safety. We anticipate the summer period to be our busiest ever, but we’ll be able to dramatically reduce the number of seasonal employees. And anyone who is hired will have a much easier time getting up to speed. That room to grow is critical to our ongoing success.”
